The originator of the thread did a good job of explaining this, but it seems the ones posting replies either didn't pay attention or didn't really know the difference. ![]() The answers previously provided in this thread keep refering to the base id, not the ref id, and contrary to one reply, the base id WILL NOT work with the prid command. Plus, they typically show only the vanilla NPCs and won't have info on NPC mods like Inigo, Vilja, Sofia, etc. ![]() There are some external guides or lists for ref ids, but if you only have one PC it may be a pain to access them. This is helpful to know when an NPC becomes "lost" so you can use the "prid " command and "moveto player" to instantly have the NPC at your side. How do you get a ref id for an NPC to use with the prid command while within the game if the NPC is not handily available to click on? Reading this thread has been very frustrating because the answers provided above either do not address the question, or they are totally incorrect.
